The Trison User Interface
In cooperation with the BANDELIN company, we have re-worked the operating software of the TRISON 4000 ultrasonic bath, which is used for the intensive cleaning of high-quality medical instruments. In the course of this revision, a further development of the operating concept and the GUI has also been performed.
The objective was to simplify the user navigation by means of a more modern, user-centered interface design. It was essential that new and regular users are able to understand the menu structure intuitively and find the basic functions quickly.
The interface elements that needed to be redesigned or newly developed were the global operating elements (basic grid) as well as a large part of the icons, pictograms and control buttons. Additionally, both content and typographical level of the texts had to be redesigned.

The Trison GUI structure
The first step was to record and analyze the structure and user navigation of the application by means of a flowchart in order to identify and evaluate potential weaknesses.
The Trison Screens
The user-centered redesign of the user interface facilitates the operation of complex robotics and visualizes it in a comprehensible way.
The Trison GUI Comparison
When compared to the previous version, the new user interface of the TRISON software impresses with its modern clarity and reduced design. The icons now speak a uniform design language and the control buttons are easily identified as such. At the same time, the new UI still ensures that regular users will find their way around immediately.
The Trison GUI Guideline
The established GUI guideline acts as a clear design guideline on how to apply certain elements such as color values, icon design and consistency. Instead of dictating conventions, the guideline offers helpful advice on how the design of the user interface should be implemented in a platform-specific or cross-platform manner.
